THE ROLE
Responsible for assisting the project team in all day-to-day operations of Defence infrastructure, building and refurbishment projects in Darwin.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards
- Assist with providing technical advice to relevant personnel regarding design, construction and program modification or structural repairs
- Maintain the project site, premises, plant & equipment in a fully operational and tidy condition
- Assist with procurement and the management of suppliers and subcontractors
ABOUT YOU
- Some on-ground project engineering experience
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Exposure to Defence projects
- Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
- Have sound verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think ‘outside the box’
- Police Clearance
