We are looking for a Site Engineer for our Southern Region’s Pipeline Infrastructure operation, based in Noble Park, to support our strong pipeline of work. The division is involved in all aspects of pipeline & related water industry construction projects including: Residential & industrial subdivisions – Sewer & Water Reticulation Construction, Branch Sewer Construction, Sewer Pump Stations & Emergency Relief Structures, Rising Main & Pressure Sewers, Trunk Water Main Construction and Main Drainage Works.
Our works are, predominantly, within the South East & Eastern outer metro growth corridors, West Gippsland region, including land development works in Cranbourne, Pakenham, Lilydale, Doreen and the Warragul region. Reporting to Divisional Manager – Pipeline Infrastructure, you will typically look after two projects/crews, as well as some tendering, contract, cost & resource management.
- To provide management, coordination and supervision of assigned Pipeline project works, undertaken by our own labour or subcontractors, to meet the best result for the Company
- Show initiative and work with the team to develop and implement engineered solutions in the delivery of the contracted works
- Develop and implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety for workers and members of the public
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the ITP and closed-out to specified requirements
- Ensure that the environmental risks are identified and controlled through documented processes
- Apply relevant FH systems and procedures and develop new procedures where necessary
You will, ideally, have 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role (open to trades or construction background). Prior Water Industry/Pipeline experience, particularly contracting in Sewer/Water in the Land Development Industry would be highly regarded. As you will be working closely with FH field staff and subcontractors as well as dealing directly with clients and consultants, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
