The role:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, people might describe you as obsessed about achieving the high quality & reliability for customers demand in a high availability cloud environment.

• Employ strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug problems in cloud native distributed systems.
  
• You will ensure cloud systems, software & databases are highly available & performing optimally in a critical environment.
• Exemplify cloud-native Site Reliability best practices.
• Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms & tools that enable
  engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, & securely.
• Your technical deliverables will reach the entire engineering organization to enable product teams to continuously deliver features on the vanguard of innovation.
• You will be proactive in identifying opportunities for automation. 
• Write code that is performant, maintainable, clear, & concise.
• Influence & educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns.

Your experience:

• 3+ years of applicable experience
• Strong Linux (Kernel highly desirable).
• Must have current Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, Open Shift or similar.
• Strong Cloud (any platform)
• Must have software development experience with one of the following: Python, C#, Java or Golang OR Very Strong Scripting
• Experience utilizing CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, & releases.
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.

Advantageous skills

• Administering SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hadoop stack (Cassandra, Zookeeper) would be highly regarded
• Configuration Management (Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Packer etc.)
• Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
