Site Engineer

The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass of the Coffs Harbour urban area, from Englands Road in the South to Sapphire in the North and is a once-in-a-generation project for the Mid-North Coast community.

Ferrovial and Gamuda (FGJV) are the proud design and construct joint venture delivery partners of the Coffs Harbour Bypass – a significant, unique and exceptional major infrastructure project that will leave a legacy of innovation and sustainability in the region for communities of today and for future generations.

As work is increasing, we now have vacant positions for SiteEngineers to join our civil and structural teams. As a Site Engineer you will be responsible to manage all aspects of construction to ensure positive outcomes for the program, safety, cost and quality across the project. Liaising with the client during the delivery of your scope of work. 

Responsibilities:

• Minimize construction risk by identifying control requirements and apply to scope of works.
• Support site supervisors to manage and coordinate the construction works and subcontractors by consistent and visible site presence to ensure effective teamwork.
• Assist in the procurement of project materials and letting of subcontracts. 
• Oversee aspects of Safety, Environmental and Quality across the scope of works.
• Manage costs associated with scope of work including accurately tracking costs and maintaining a cost forecast.
• Assist in the preparation of Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Construction Procedures and Site Access Plans.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Equivalent
• Previous experience working within a project orientated team on a civil construction site. 
• Ability to interpret designs for construction implementation. 
• Experience with cost tracking and providing input into work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors.
• Proven verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships.
