The Role
Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne’s southeast, and we manufacture more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages, and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product annually, processing, packing, and delivering 24 hours a day, six days a week.
This role plays a crucial role in ensuring that the site functions seamlessly, meeting the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Operations - Milk, the successful candidate will lead a team of four and will be responsible for planning, organizing, coaching, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the site's operations. Through effective leadership and management, the role will support the achievement of key performance metrics in line with the business's supply chain plan while also ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Managing resources to achieve safety, quality, environment, production cost and customer service targets/goals.
Develop and propose annual business plans that align with strategy. Recommend budgets, KPIs and schedule key projects.
Monitor and review performance against Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Develop monthly and annual production plans for the Cream and Milk Plant, which depend on other processes/units, including resource planning, monitoring, and reporting on performance against the plan
Manage the development and delivery of the company's manufacturing process improvement program while initiating, formulating, and implementing new manufacturing methods and processes.
About you
Relevant Degree or an equivalent qualification and leadership experience in FMCG.
Experience in planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the policy framework
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills required
Proficiency in OPEX, Lean, project, and change management preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders from across the business
