About the role
As a Site Supervisor you will be in control of 3-5 projects, working in close collaboration with the Construction Manager and office project team. You will be responsible for building your projects to a high standard of quality, within the agreed timeframe and other fundamental parameters including, live project planning, trade and supplier organisation and scheduling, resource allocation as well as always maintaining a safe working environment on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly reviewing construction documentation ensuring they are properly detailed and considered prior to site mobilisation.
- Live ongoing project planning and executing best practice construction methodology and sequencing for maximum efficiency from beginning to end of construction.
- Directing all onsite activities on a day to day basis ensuring each project is well organised to enable efficient build program, within the given time frame and budget.
- Clear and thorough instruction to ensure professional site and people management.
- Maintaining a harmonious and collaborative quality focused team of trades.
- Controlling site cleanliness and organisation to a high standard, including controlling supply deliveries.
- Thorough daily site log, RFI’s and updating construction documentation, incident reports etc.
- Ensuring building practices are correct to NCC, AS and any other relevant legislation.
- Ensuring OH&S procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Effective, professional and efficient communication with all parties involved in the project
- Maintaining a strong eye for detail and quality of across the project from start to finish
Key Requirements
- Thorough understanding of NCC Volumes 1&2, Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication skills in order to communicate effectively with the office, trades, clients and suppliers.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Natural leadership qualities and self-motivation.
- Proficient and accepting of technology – Procore or similar experience an advantage.
- The potential and desire to grow as the company grows.
- Possess a can-do attitude with the ability to prioritise and delegate efficiently.
- Willingness to go above-and-beyond to get the project complete.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience and a proven track record in and successful delivery of high quality residential construction.
- Thorough understanding of the Work Health & Safety Regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Highly organised and strong focus on attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- National Police Clearance
- Valid C-Class Driver's Licence
- Proven ability to foster a positive team culture
- Proven sense of pride in personal and brand representation across all aspects of work
