McCorkell Constructions has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Commercial Site Manager to join our Melbourne team. With a key project due to kick-off in the south-eastern suburbs, this is an integral role within the company that offers the benefit of project involvement from site commencement.

With offices in Melbourne and Perth, we employ a team of over 70 staff across both states.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a result of continued growth and securing a new project in the south-east, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join our established team.
Key responsibilities and duties to include:
- Delivering detail-driven projects within live-operating environments, from start to finish.
- Ensuring the project objectives for time, safety, quality, and environmental management are achieved.
- Co-ordination and direction of all site teams and subcontractor activities.
- Fostering robust relationships with stakeholders, and project site staff.
- Leading trade coordination and communications.
- Ensuring WHS procedures and systems are implemented.
- Organising short-term construction schedules.
- Continued analysis of project execution and quality.
ABOUT YOU
You will have successfully operated in team environment, with leadership of team members and sub-contractors. A clear communicator, you will possess exceptional conflict resolution skills and be able to manage multiple personalities on site. Self-motivated and committed to achieving outcomes, your attention to detail and thorough understanding of construction documentation will be highly valued.
Additionally, evidence of the following skills and attributes will be looked upon favourably:
- Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager, ideally having delivered institutional projects over $15million construction value (Education, Local Government, Government).
- Technical understanding of the building process from start to finish.
- Confident interpretation and implementation of project documentation, regulations and codes of practice.
- Experience in executing complex, bespoke construction details.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with clear communication.
- Multi-tasking proficiency.
- Expert prioritisation of competing responsibilities.
