Job DescriptionBESIX Watpac are seeking a
Site Manager to deliver a large processing facility project in Rockhampton. This role will have direct responsibility for the control of the site operations, programming and coordination of all subcontractors, suppliers and materials.The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Be responsible for the programming and co-ordination of all subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries, ensuring that all conditions and regulations are complied with and company programmes are implemented and maintained with regards to safety, industrial relations and quality assurance.
- Call and chair site co-ordination meetings of subcontractors, suppliers and members of the design team, as required, to discuss progress, co-ordination, work practices and other relevant details to ensure a timely and professional construction progress.
- Provide weekly/fortnightly short term programs as required and ensure the completion of all practical completion defects.
- Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents, and the requirements of the local authorities, and relevant standards.
- Proactively drive company safety, environment and quality policies, practices and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
QualificationsThe incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Demonstrated experience of the successful delivery of construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.
- Proven ability to build and lead an effective results driven team.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment.
