About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor/Site Manager with a strong background in infrastructure projects, preferably within the building and/or rail sectors to join our growing organisation. The successful candidate will oversee and manage site operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Manage and lead site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and safety standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation, including programme, timesheets, and safety records.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site meetings and briefings to keep the team informed and aligned with project goals.
- Resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly to minimise delays and disruptions.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager on infrastructure projects, preferably within the building and/or rail sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide site personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.
