Your New Role:
The Site Manager oversees and assists all construction operations on site, as delegated by the Project Manager, to ensure its safe, effective, and efficient delivery. This will involve planning, preparing, monitoring, and reporting on the delivery of the works, labour, and subcontractors’ performance. The role is demanding and will provide its fair share of challenges in a competitive industry. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Abiding and supporting the Employment Relations-, Work Health & Safety-, Environmental-, Quality Management Plans, Risk Registers and ALL Company Procedures. (Standard Operating Procedures, High-Risk Safe Work Procedures, Environmental etc.) - abiding by Australian Legislation;
- Ensuring all workers and visitors are Rapid and Site Inducted;
- Weekly Toolbox Talks are held as per client company requirements;
- Understanding of contract drawings and specifications, including all schedules and addendums;
- Ensuring Job Safety Analysis/SWMS are on site, reviewed, and all workers signed on to before their works commencing;
- Inspection, measuring, and surveying of works;
- Maintain a record of all resources and all day worksheets on site;
- Assisting and supporting the Integrated Management Systems Department;
- Achieve Practical and Final Completion;
- Keeping Concrete Pour and Brick Supply records;
- Maintaining Administration Duties and/or Administration of Works;
- Oversee and Supervise operations on a day-to-day basis and ensure work is done safely, in an environmentally responsible manner, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards;
- First aid and Fire Warden should it be required;
- Ordering of materials and setting out of the works;
- Short-term programming of the works;
- Liaison with clients during assembly of the products;
- Attend training courses when requested and administration of Duties.
Your Profile:
You should possess excellent time management, attention to detail, and solid organisational skills. Also, working under pressure, prioritising deadlines, and demonstrating professional verbal and written communication are necessary. It is essential to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues. Being able to negotiate effectively and having a strong client focus is also crucial. Finally, having a positive, proactive, passionate, and eager-to-learn attitude is highly valued.
As well as this, you will have:
- Minimum three years of supervision experience. Strong experience in commercial construction preferred;
- Current C’ Class Drivers Licence;
- Construction Industry White Card;
- Proven successful management and delivery of commercial construction projects;
- Strong supervisory and people management skills;
- The vision for long-term employment within the Company;
