A unique opportunity has arisen for our Pakenham, Victoria operations and Shadbolt is seeking a Site Manager / Supervisor that can double as a Site Supervisor when required.

The role:
Shadbolt Group is seeking for an experienced Site Manager / Supervisorto join their team in Pakenham, for site works around Melbourne and Victoria.
You will be responsible to manage and motivate staff to maintain high-performance standards and promote culture of safety and teamwork, you will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising site projects in construction and mechanical discipling

This role is a full-time permanent role.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the workflow of their team or department by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results and reporting to senior management. Your team will comprise of Boilermaker, Welders, Mechanical Fitters, Riggers and TA's.
- Relaying information between their team and upper management, guiding their team through daily work activities or projects and monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.
- Overseeing the daily tasks and performance of an individual or a group of employees.
- Monitoring and regulating a company’s staff in their performance of delegated duties and providing constructive feedback.
- Managing a team or individual to ensure that they are performing effectively and satisfied in their role.
- Supervise and lead all on-site project staff
- Assist Project Manager in planning and programming of work orders
- To actively lead and participate in daily toolbox meeting
- Ensure that all foremen/tradesmen are clearly directed as to the scope and sequence of works
- Ensuring all tradesmen are adequately supervised at shift start up, during overtime, to end of shift
- Ensure employee complete site specific tasks as per the customer requirements.
- Monitoring and ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Ensuring that safe work methods (SWM's) & Job Safety Analysis' (JSA's) are identified documented where applicable and implemented on all tasks.
- Ensuring that employees are assessed as being competent to operate plant equipment.
- Encouraging employees to report hazards, unsafe work practices, near misses, equipment damage and all injuries.
- Participating in regular safety inspections as directed by SHE manager
- Planning work activities to minimise exposure to risks of personnel performing incompatible work activities
- Ensuring all employees are kept close 100% capacity
- Ensure all QA documentation is correctly filled out by appropriate person's and in timely manner.
- Other tasks and duties as deemed appropriate by the Project Manager

- Background as Boilermaker

Qualifications and Experience
The following qualifications are required for the incumbent to perform the duties of the position:
- Qualified Tradesman
- Trade tickets/white card
- High Risk License (Working at heights)
- Confined Space.
Other aspects of this role include:
- Full time position
- Full medical required for this position
- Police clearances required for this position
Special Requirements:
- Travel to Sites
- Car allowance / or Car provided.
