Supervisor duties
1. Supervise the works on designated sites , in accordance with time schedules ,drawings specifications and information provided and collected with a view to deliver trouble free jobs at the highest possible quality , on time and in budget.
2. Adhere to company procedures and rules outlined in the work place agreement signed by supervisor.
3. Coordinate all construction activities and determine labour requirements for specific tasks and supervise and adhere to all contractual activities on sites.
4. Assist sub contractors and suppliers in providing necessary information to them in a timely manner and maintain momentum to achieve contractual completion times
5. Inform office immediately of any events which might cause delay or stoppage of the works and maintain constant contact with management.
6. Ensure the flow of human resources and materials to sites and coordinate procurement with suppliers with a view to maintaining a continuous and interrupted pattern of work on site and minimum on site storage time.
7. Authorize payments to suppliers and contractors after inspecting all relevant works associated with particular invoice.
8. Liaise with office staff ,suppliers ,and subcontractors regarding all issues with the relevant projects under your supervision .
9. Record and report incidents of health/safety /security/damages and thefts immediately to management.
10. Assist and maintain cost control and adhere to each projects budget as provided by the management.
11. Maintain adequate records on all events related to sites under responsibility including but not limited to , on a daily basis ,work activities on sites ,contractors and tradesman on sites .provide information to updated time schedules and coordination.
12. Attend to various government authorities requirements .Attend site meetings ,inspection meetings and handing over meetings.
13. Consistently attend fortnightly construction meeting and adhering to the direction given by management .
14. Provide feedback related to as built drawings and remarks to improve designs, improve methods of construction and reduction of costs .
15. Initiate invoices on a fortnightly basis and submit progress claims promptly to ensure good cash flow.
16. Confer with office ,owners and contractors and design to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures ,complaints and construction problems .Ensure that all information is noted and relevant work staff members are notified and appropriate changes are made.
17. Ensure all contractors and tradesmen have signed and fulfilled the appropriate information required prior starting on any projects.
18. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with the relevant building codes and safety practise.
19. Investigate damages ,accidents or delay at construction sites to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
