Job Purpose:
The Site Supervisor is entrusted with the primary responsibility of supervising and coordinating personnel and subcontractors on site. Reporting all relevant site activities is crucial, and the Site Supervisor must manage the ongoing quality of work, ensuring that projects are consistently delivered in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prior to commencing works, the Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a clear understanding of relevant project specifications and drawings.
- Understand budget requirements (program and materials) for the job and ensure the job is delivered under or on budget.
- Ability to set up plant and equipment, and schedule associated works to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure effective utilization and monitoring of all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, subcontractors, etc.) for timely project completion.
- Ensure clear communication on site procedures and actions to be taken in case of an accident.
- Ensure all relevant site staff and sub-contractors have read and understood SWMS and are adequately trained.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements (e.g., Local Council, EPA, etc.) on site.
- Display safety signage where required.
- Thoroughly check plant and equipment, accurately filing the plant logbook.
- Ensure all site staff are inducted following the company induction program.
- Promptly off-hire appropriate hired-in plant and equipment upon task completion.
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture (landscape) highly desirable but not essential.
- CIC (white card).
- Plant and Machinery Licences are desirable.
- Valid motor vehicle license.
- First aid certificate is a requirement of the role.
- Fire Warden training PUAWER005B.
- Hydrant User Card.
