About the role
We are currently seeking a dynamic leader to coordinate grain operations and resources at our Rudall site to achieve high levels of safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service. Our Western region spans across the Eyre Peninsula; and the role of Operation Supervisor is an integral part of our supply chain. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, this role has operational responsibility for all storage and handling functions including staff and systems performance. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering results.
Duties
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, resolve issues, and achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee daily operations, including grain handling, storage, and receiving activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational metrics to management.
- Planning and co-ordinating of grain operations to meet or better the agreed targets, which will include safety, quality systems and efficiency targets.
- Build strong relationships with local grower customers and develop an understanding of their operations.
- The effective co-ordination and safe management of all bulk commodity handling, storage, protection, and movement activities at the site.
- Supporting the development and implementation of processes to ensure that existing, permanent, and portable capital infrastructure and equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and appropriate operational manner.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
- Proven experience in supervising a team.
- Relevant operational experience, preferably gained in a bulk grain handling environment.
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
