Our client is a boutique Custom Home Builder with a niche focus on knock down re-builds across Sydney's North Shore, Inner West and Southern Suburbs. All homes are bespoke and architecturally designed, giving each client their own "one of a kind" home.
Building between 15 - 20 custom homes annually, they are seeking to expand their small, tight-knit team and add an additional Site Supervisor to the Construction team. This is an ideal role for a leading hand or a junior supervisor who is looking for a step up.
About the Role
You will be overseeing the construction of 2-3 custom builds homes across the St Georges region and Southern Suburbs. Project values are generally ranging between $1M - $2M with all projects being knock down re-builds.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction from early services and excavation until handover with the client. With each project being different and highly customised, we are looking for someone with strong a strong eye for detail and is highly organised.
Duties
- Managing the overall performance of each project from commencement to handover
- Liaising with trades and sub-contractors
- Checking material orders
- Lead a team of site staff in delivering projects
- Ensure that project milestones are followed and met on time
- Undertake project quality assurance
- Action and manage defective work
- Daily detailed site diaries
- Ensure that homes are built in accordance with contractual arrangements and to specification
- Ensuring trades are complying with Safety Management Systems and WH&S legislation's
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Site Supervisor or a highly experienced Leading Hand
- Certificate III in Carpentry
- Strong attention to detail
- Robust administrative skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, energetic and driven individual with a positive attitude
