As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of BOC’s Altona and Geelong sites and relief of 3 other sites.
This position will achieve efficient and reliable operation through maintenance functions, plant monitoring and communications with ROC Engineers, customer needs and distribution demands, or as directed by the site Production Manager.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- Leading compliance with safety, health, environmental, quality and relevant industry standards for the site
- You are responsible for controlling site costs and supporting work on sites to achieve KPI's and site objectives
- In addition, you recommend and suggest activities required to ensure reliability and improvement of the plants (Altona / Geelong + 3 during on call periods i.e. rostered every 5 weeks), you will support execution and commissioning
- Accountability for planning and executing assigned maintenance and Turn Around plans, including control of spare parts and data reporting
- Monitoring, alerting and assisting the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in plant operations including shutdown and restart
- Supporting compliance to statutory requirements such as Safety Valves, Pressure Vessel and Piping
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- In possession of a Trade certification OR an Engineering qualification in (Mechanical, instrumentation, Electrical), you have experience preferably in continuous process plant operations
- Plant, process troubleshooting and the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects - required
- You will be leading implementation of safety, and operational initiatives
- Strong work ethic and the ability to fit in easily with our small team
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills, you also have a high level of technical competency
- You high level of initiative and the ability to work unsupervised will aid you well in this position
