About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Trainer Assessor to become our Skills and Jobs Mentor in our growing Warrnambool branch.
The role will provide tailored foundation skills development, vocational training, mentoring, and support to help improve participants’ opportunities for meaningful connections to work and community. Working within a small high-performing team your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging, learner-centric, and culturally sensitive training
- Facilitate high-quality workshops, virtual sessions, and individual coaching to maximise participant engagement and course completion
- Conduct assessment activities, provide constructive feedback to participants and ensure accurate, compliant record-keeping
- Provide strengths-based employment mentoring, skills identification, industry exploration and career counselling support
- Provide tailored job application support, advocacy, and employer connections to facilitate sustainable employment.
- Build industry, employer, community and stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate with service partners to create referral pathways to address participant support needs
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience delivering tailored vocational education and employment services
- TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set or a higher-level tertiary education qualification or willingness to undertake
- Ability to work effectively and sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CRM systems (e.g., JobReady) and intermediate MS Office
- Working with Children Check, clear National Police Check, Australian residency.
