We are hiring qualified Trainer in our Breaking room to join our team in Tallangatta, Victoria. We offer you a permanent job with proper industry training and supportive management. You will be a valued team member working in a fast-paced environment that focuses on safety and well-being.
Primary Purpose of Position
Work closely with the Breaking Room Manager to perform a range of production related tasks and training to fulfil production requirements for the business.

- Experience within the meat processing industry. Boning, Slicing & Slaughtering
- Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout all processes
- The ability to work in a physical, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a diverse team with varying backgrounds, knowledge, and experience
- Reliable and disciplined
- A professional work attitude
- High attendance rate is required
- High level of Knife sharpening Skills
- Skill level associated with Certificate III or equivalent in meat processing
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene requirements will be an added advantage
- Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident / Full Working Rights in Australia are essential.
- Ability to pass Alcohol & Drug testing.
- Q-Fever vaccinated or willing to receive the vaccination.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the meat industry with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in boning environment preferably portion cuts.
- Demonstrated experience in training according to needs and bottlenecks
- Qualification in meat processing preferable.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Breaks down carcasses by removing bones and slicing meat
- Develop, plan and provide workplace training and refresher training
- Extensive practical knowledge of Boning Room policies and procedures
- Perform tasks as delegated by the Breaking Room Manager.
- Be responsible for training of staff in boning of lamb cuts to Aus meat/ customer specifications
- To monitor daily through put of product being produced and identify
- To be able to engage with staff on through put to increase daily production.
