Small Tools Mechanic (Rocklea)

Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Small Plant Mechanic or Technician based out of our Yatala Depot, there will be a small requirement to attend client sites for urgent repairs or maintenance.

Position Objective

Assist the Branch team by ensuring all aspects of equipment maintenance, servicing and repairs are completed effectively and efficiently. Making the branch’s workshop their own, taking full accountability and responsibility for their work. Assisting within the yard including the operation, cleanliness, and quality of the equipment and dept/yard. Additionally, you may be required to support the team with site servicing, repairs, trouble shooting, delivery and/or collection of equipment and tools from various locations in the company vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preventative and Regular servicing of tools and equipment,
• Tool and equipment repairs and rebuilds
• Provide basic scheduled and unscheduled services to Small Tools and equipment (filters, pull cords, etc),
• Maintain a high standard & quality of tools and equipment,
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment over the phone or in person,
• Assist and conduct basic yard duties incl. cleaning, organising, relocating equipment,
• Management of spare parts and other incendiaries, incl. stocktake, ordering, and receiving.
• Maintain equipment records electronically or hardcopy,

What you will need:

• Ability to follow workplace policies and procedures, communicate strongly at a professional level and be a team player.
• Strong work ethic, be reliable and have values in the workplace,
• Have a flexible “will do” attitude to support our clients.
• Able to multitask and prioritise tasks quickly and calmly under pressure.
• Be physically fit and pass a pre-employment medical,
• Be open to learning and developing skills and learning.
• Experience in maintaining plant equipment, Small Tools, and maintenance around the depot,
• Mechanically minded and an understanding of workshop WHS,
• Preferred but not essential.
