As part of our Integrated Supply Chain Transformation Program we have a newly created opportunity for a Smart Factory Technician.  

As our Smart Factory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in executing transformation projects within our Smart Factory program.   

Within the framework of the Smart Factory program, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and implementing projects that harness the power of technology and data to optimize our manufacturing processes, enhance decision-making, and elevate overall business performance.  

What is the Integrated Supply Chain Transformation Program?  

Our ambition is to become a truly Digital business, obsessed with focus, execution and winning. To do this, we are driving a significant Supply Chain Digital Transformation, building strong data and digital foundations to power advanced analytics, robotics and automation that transforms how we PLAN, MAKE and DELIVER across our ANZ supply chain.    

The Smart Factories program will transform how we MAKE product in ANZ. It is a wide-ranging program to build strong manufacturing data foundations and leverage these to optimise our factory operations now and in the future. 

What would be your key responsibilities? 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions.  
• Foster a collaborative environment, breaking down silos, and promoting a shared vision for digital transformation.  
• Deliver end-to-end execution of Smart Factory digital and data projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.  
• Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of digital tools and data-driven practices.  
• Develop training programs to upskill employees and promote a culture of continuous improvement.  
• Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation through digital solutions and data analytics.  
• Regularly report on project performance, iterate based on feedback, and adjust strategies as needed.  
• Role model the application of Mars safety standards in order to safeguard our associates and the assets we use.   

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology (or other relevant discipline)  
• 3-5 years of manufacturing (operational or engineering preferred) experience, preferably in the FMCG or Food industry.  
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 concepts.  
• Experience in Project Management.  
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a data-driven decision-making approach.
