We are looking for a Snow Laboratory and Operations Manager to join our team and be part of a cutting-edge Snow Medical funded research program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality technical services to support the operations of the Knott Lab.
The Knott Lab is a young, energetic, and multidisciplinary research lab that discovers novel CRISPR systems and associated tools with a goal to transform RNA biomedicine and biotechnology. We believe that the revolutionary biotechnologies of the future are encoded within the genomes of the microbial world. By understanding how these complex machines work at a molecular level, we are looking to harness them as programmable editing machinery for biotechnology. From discovery to application, our team combines metagenomics, bioinformatics, high-throughput screens, biochemistry, structural biology, and engineering to develop the next-generation of CRISPR-based biotechnologies and beyond.

Reporting to Gavin Knott, you will be expected to:
Manage the operations of the lab and to contribute to its research
Performs a range of significant and complex technical activities
Oversee and undertake exciting and innovative research, data analysis, supervision, mentoring, equipment maintenance, research laboratory management, developing operating procedure
Manage operational and budget planning, while ensuring a compliant and safe operating environment
Contribute intellectually and drive innovation across our research and lab processes
As the successful candidate you will have a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
