Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Description One of our flagship clients is currently at the beginning phases of a greenfield project to migrate their on-prem data warehouse in to AWS/Snowflake.
They are looking for 2 experienced Snowflake Data Engineers to assist in the start-up phase, and as the project progresses, to be part of the development team.
The role(s) reports to the Senior Snowflake Engineer and will be responsible to:
- Work with data modeler/data analyst to develop, test, and optimize ETL/data objects as required.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the data platform.
- Ensure adherence to source code management, release management, and necessary documentation practices.
- Contribute to team best practices and provide input for solutions and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate(s) will have:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer with AWS/Snowflake.
- 1-2 years of experience with DBT.
- Proficient in using Snowflake & features such as Snowpipes, Streams, and Tasks.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with Terraform IAC is advantageous.
- Cloud data migration experience within large organisations, desirable.
- Understanding and working knowledge of data management and data warehousing concepts.Working knowledge of Jira.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery methodology and ability to adapt to change
