Opportunity: Part of the growing Credit team, focused on larger applications for business lending generally over $500,000. The assessment is focused on cash flow assessment, not just financial assessment, as part of the 5C credit assessment criteria.
Role: Will be Assessing and Approving commercial credit applications for secured and unsecured loans, lines of credit, overdrafts, equipment finance. The transactions are referred from the direct sales team and 3rd party / Broker introducer channels.
Credit analysts decision new customer applications, after assessing bank statement and other application data, which is more current than just historical financial statements. Historical financials are generally assessed for larger exposures over $1million.
This role has in-built development, as the analysts also assist with refining of decisioning models and monitor portfolio performance as changes are made.
Transactions typically range from $100,000 to $500,000, but frequently exceed this as larger businesses also seem comfortable to move away from 'clunky' old bank products to digital first products.
Forget the need for annual reviews. These are typically done by Artificial Intelligence, using customer data to automatically and constantly assess the facility for the customer. Not your typical lender.
Requirements: We will be seeking to discuss this role with candidates who best show the following skills and experience:
1. Prior commercial lending experience, focused on cashflow assessment of customer applications
2. The majority ( >50%) of your assessment must be focused on Cashflow finance applications and not anything secured by real estate
2. Good communication skills to sell your decision or structure a solution
3. Great team player to support this growing team
4. Brings the mindset - "There must be a better way"
