We are looking for a detail oriented, driven Social Media Manager to join our team, working on a range of clients in auto, entertainment, lifestyle and finance.
This is an opportunity to work in a highly integrated agency, collaborating heavily with creative teams to create truly holistic and innovative campaigns that deliver real and meaningful results for clients.
Headline responsibilities:
- Social media content planning, media buying and implementation across the client portfolio
- Take initiative to completely own tasks and lead projects – drive a project from start to finish and deliver results.
- Be an active contributing member of the agency – add joy to JOY: actively contributing to the wider JOY team & agency culture, representing values with professionalism
Key Tasks:
- Content calendar planning & implementation in line with monthly trafficking cycles – copywriting, creative ideation & execution (with production teams), liaison & approval with clients
- Trafficking monthly content & optimising ads & campaigns ongoing to drive best results
- Managing media spend including planning and buying for identified client accounts. This includes everything from presenting a recommendation to a client to buying and campaign reporting on an ongoing basis.
- Develop a deep understanding of your client's category to have an enhanced understanding of their communication needs.
- Ensuring that all campaigns are informed by genuine insights and deliver on key objectives.
- Educating the team and clients about the latest developments in Social Media.
- Generating appropriate reporting (competitive, performance tracking, budget reporting). Ensure reporting is actionable and insightful, report on set strategy/objectives, and feed learnings back into always-on content calendars
- Working on new business pitches where required.
- Manage project timelines and workload for each campaign and ongoing clients. Assist the Social Lead in managing the workloads and timelines of junior team members.
- Guide and develop junior staff members in your team, sharing your knowledge, mentoring, and overall fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Assist the Social Lead in reviewing junior team members work, stepping in where needed to ensure deadlines are met, and pushing all teammates to achieve the best results for clients.
- Escalating issues in teams, clients, campaigns or otherwise to the Social Lead as and when required.
- Take an active role in the wider agency sharing Social Media updates and working collaboratively with all other departments to ensure delivery of Social Media excellence across all components of their recommendations, plans and management of client activity
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders independently to achieve monthly & campaign requirements for your clients
- Direct & independent client management across identified accounts, keeping the Social Lead across updates & requirements
- Ensure key updates are shared with Media teams, Creative teams, Strategy teams as required
- Administrative and financial management and accountability
Requirements
Technical
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related course from a recognised university
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Thorough understanding of each Social Media platform & ability to push the envelope of social excellence in creative, copy, format, spec & media buy strategy
- Understanding of agency systems & ability to review, approve & educate junior teammates – Ads manager (all platforms), Airtable, Emplifi, Tagger, Traackr & more
