About the Role
In this role you will create engaging original digital and social media content for ABC Children and Family, increasing the ABC's reach and value with audiences across key social and digital platforms. You will be responsible for producing high quality end to end content for ABC Children's Originals, External Commissions, Kids listen and Early Education across all touchpoints for social and digital platforms. This includes shooting, editing, motion graphics, researching, writing, articles and publishing.
The role will also involve:
- Ensuring content has a consistent tone and voice, aligning with ABC Children and Family broader digital strategy.
- Using accomplished Graphic Design skills to create consistent visual language for social and digital content.
- Regular monitoring, analysing, and reporting on moderately complex social analytics to improve content and reach.
- Maintaining an accomplished awareness of industry developments, platform news, competitor activity and audience trends; as well as an understanding of specific risks on emerging platforms, including copyright, moderation, child safety, and brand safety.
You are an enthusiastic content gun with a strong track record in originating, developing, delivering and publishing high-quality social and digital content across platforms. You have a strong understanding of ABC Kids program brands, as well as social trend. You have a demonstrated ability to use analytics to optimise content creation and reach new audiences.
You will also have:
- Accomplished end to end content creation skills with proficiency in shooting, editing and graphic design, using the Adobe Suite, DSLR's or equivalent.
- Collaborative, excellent communicator and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple deadlines.
- Accomplished planning, administrative and organisational skills, with an understanding of licencing and Rights Management.
- Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.
