Job description

Mamamia is on the lookout for a Social Producer to join our best-in-class content team.

But first, here's a bit about us.

Mamamia is Australia's largest women's company.

Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. That's what guides everything we do. And, uh, we do a lot. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world.

What we're looking for.

As Mamamia's Social Content Producer, you'll curate engaging content across various platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Podcasts, ensuring it resonates with Mamamia's distinctive tone. Taking ownership of a vertical, you'll pitch innovative ideas, manage calendars, and craft captivating reels as part of your daily routine. Like the social media guru you are, you'll engage with our audience, provide feedback, and stay updated on industry trends.

Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

  • Film, edit, and distribute captivating Social Content, including reels for Instagram and TikTok
  • Utilise social insights to pitch socially-led content ideas and relevant podcast show segments.
  • Efficiently manage content calendars and production timelines to ensure timely delivery and consistent posting frequency.
  • Moderate assigned channels effectively and engage with our Mamamia audience on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and platform updates, incorporating innovative ideas into content strategies, and providing regular feedback to the content team.

Now, a bit about you.

  • Absolute passion for Socials and an understanding of audience
  • Demonstrated understanding of creating content including short-form video for Instagram Reels, Stories, Grid and TikTok.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar social media content creator role
  • Ability to plan and manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Positive and solutions-focused attitude
  • Sound knowledge of social media best practices and the changing social media landscape
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in podcasts, digital trends, digital media and emerging technologies

Life at Mamamia.

We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.

We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun (..although apparently, not very modest about it); many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ.

But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in. Think you might want to broaden your scope? Get exposure to another team in the business? Try something new and develop your skills? We'll help you make it happen and cheer you on the whole way.

On top of all that, Mamamia also offers:

  • Flexible working conditions
  • The opportunity to celebrate your birthday and ongoing dedication with additional leave days
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid volunteer leave to get involved with our charity partners
  • The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.

One more thing!

Mamamia is an equal opportunity employer, all applicants will be considered regardless of your race, sexuality, religion, colour, gender identity, or parental status. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply. If you require any assistance, including a workplace adjustment to participate in the recruitment process please reach out to **@mamamia.com.au.
