Accent Home Care is a division of Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) who have been supporting older people for over 50 years.
Accent Home Care has a range of services that extend to Home Care Packages (HCP), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and private services.
Accent Home Care is seeking staff to be part of our Social Support Group that operates in the Yarra Ranges (Lilydale, Woori Yallock, Healseville, Seville) . The outing-based service enables older adults to access the community in small groups, to socialise with like-minded people.
About the role
We are looking for Social Support staff that will be part of the development and implementation of programs, and activities designed for ethno-specific frail aged and/or people with disabilities within our local catchment. The Social Support programs provide opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, outings, and participation in a range of activities to maintain, or improve, their connection to the community and their independence.
This is a busy but very rewarding role, in which you will be impacting people's lives in every day.
During your day, you will always maintain professional boundaries and apply the Privacy and Confidentiality Act. Always upholding the new Aged Care Standards of consumer choice and dignity during your day, using your knowledge and skills around infection control and manual handling, will assist you to ensure health and safety laws are adhered to.
About you

You are extremely organised and always ready to adapt to any changes that may occur.
To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Multilingual (desirable)
- Ability to drive 12-seater bus
- Experience in Aged Care activities
You'll also need:
- Current VIC driver’s licence and safe driving record
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
- Current Police Check less than 12 months old
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
