Social Video Specialist is responsible for the production of the video content for Samsung Electronics Australia. This includes but no limited to training videos, demonstration and how-to, narrative, and episodic videos, social style video, filmed podcast, localisation of global video and on occasion marketing and Social Videos. Video content is published on Samsung+ Learning app and Samsung Australia social pages and marketing content.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create video content for social based initiatives, projects, marketing activations and events according to the briefs shared by the Social Team & Marketing team
- Prepare and present pitching documents to meet briefing submissions from stakeholders
- Support the Social Media Videographer in the planning, ideation, creation, and publishing of social content for Samsung Australia’s social accounts including TikTok and Instagram.
- Support the Social Media Videographer in production of video content
- Own the entire pre-to-post-production process for film and video creation including editing & VFX
- Work with the Producer
- Work with the Producer to meet all approvals, clearances, plan any filming, releases, insurances or required equipment for shoots
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to coordinate content initiatives and creative
- Work with Video Production Specialists on larger shoots to build a bank of offshoot learning content based on bigger projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Design Arts: Filmmaking & Photography or Bachelor of Film & Television Production or above
- 2 Years’ experience in a similar role or agency/studio experience or freelance experience
- Recent Portfolio/showreel of work is encouraged to share
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong and demonstrated knowledge of producing video content at all stages of production – this includes, but not limited to: Scripting, storyboarding, camera operation and understanding of lens types and application, lighting and audio set up and editing and delivery
- Skills in motion graphics highly favoured
- Ability to liaise with studios and venues for shoots
- Effective equipment management
- Able to pitch ideas effectively to an audience who may not be familiar with video production and constructing stories
- Able to write production briefs
- Advanced experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Da Vinci Resolve Studio
- High level time management skills and the ability to work to critical deadlines are imperative
- Strong portfolio/show reel that shows a range of work that includes filming, sound and editing
- Knowledge of Retail products, particularly Telecommunications; I.T and Digital Imaging products and advantage
- Tech Savvy, with considerable knowledge of audio/visual equipment, hardware, software, troubleshooting and techniques used in video production and editing
