What you'll be doing
Leading a team of Social Workers that provide a clinical service to clinical areas including Maternity, ANC, Paediatrics, Menopause and Emergency Dept.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics. Recent post graduate clinical experience as a level 2 Social Worker or above.
- Demonstrated advanced skills and knowledge in assessment, counselling and therapy interventions, case management, advocacy and discharge planning.
- Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated Social Work experience in the areas of trauma, domestic & family violence, child protection, perinatal loss and women’s health.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting service development, quality improvement activities and professional education.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) and demonstrated computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders including high level committees, written reports and submissions, and conference and seminar presentations.
