Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) are currently seeking dedicated Casual Social Workers to join our warm and supportive team

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number) with a demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to Inpatient Social Work.
  • A well-developed understanding the psychosocial issues that arise for patients and their families during chronic and acute illness and trauma. 
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychosocial assessment and crisis management, within person centered, trauma informed and brief intervention models and preferably (but not essential) within a health clinical setting.

The Casual Pool social work staff are responsible for fulfilling social work vacancies that may occur in all locations (hospital and community) for the district
