Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in developing, planning and implementing evidence-based strategies, procedures and policies which support the social, emotional and educational needs of special needs students and their families.
2. Demonstrated capacity to deal with complex, sensitive and personal issues and the ability to undertake small student group and whole class supports, including social and communication skill development.
3. Demonstrated high level organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop the capacity of staff to support the school's disability and inclusion provision for all students.
4. Ability to provide leadership and professional learning that informs and influences the work of others involved in the engagement and wellbeing of children and young people.
5. Demonstrated capacity to contribute to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary Student Wellbeing and Professional Learning Teams to design, implement and evaluate prevention and intervention programs to support the educational needs of all students.
6. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies in the area of student wellbeing.
Role
Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate Support Levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of support services to students, teachers, parents and other school clients.
Ensure all external providers deliver the required service.

Work days: Fulltime Monday- Friday, 38 hours per week (hours of work 8.30am - 4.30pm
At Marnebek we are a supportive school of our students and staff and as such we would be happy to negotiate a reduced time fraction if required.
Classification and salary range details:
ES1-4 Range - from $90,522 to $106,733
