About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team, focusing on achieving positive outcomes for all our consumers and their families. We provide a high standard of care in accordance with the Strengths Model, operating under a recovery-oriented framework.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments (including biopsychosocial assessment) and formulate and implement treatment plans. You will also be offered a range of learning opportunities to develop specialist skills, and the opportunity to operate as part of an integrated Adult Area Mental Health Service.

• Coordinate, oversee and monitor admission tools working toward discharge planning for consumers
• Liaise with community groups and relevant agencies to develop and review community networks which enhance continuity of care
• Provide an advanced social work service, which includes consultation and education for consumers, carers and other health care professionals in the Acute Inpatient Service
• Supervise and provide training to social students and other non social work staff
• Facilitate individual and group work, focusing on interpersonal skills and strengths of consumers, utilising recovery principles

Classifications for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 2 YC42 - YC45 ($86,304 - $99,210 per annum)

Your Contribution

• Approved degree in Social Work, and eligible for membership of AASW
• Minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience in mental health (desirable)
• Overseas qualified Social Workers require endorsement by AASW and must be able to provide evidence of this
• Current Victorian Driving Licence
• Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
