Armajun Aboriginal Health Service have positions available for qualified Social Workers to provide Social Worker services in our service areas with flexible service delivery options and employment packages either full-time or part-time.

As a Social Worker you will be required to meet the following essential criteria;
- Tertiary level qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent and Relevant registration with professional Association
- Demonstrated experience working with and awareness of the issues impacting on Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples
- High standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate sensitively and appropriately with vulnerable people.
- Experience working with and/or liaising with primary health care and community care providers.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, as well as negotiation skills.
- High level of computer literacy; sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and client management systems.
- Ability to hold all relevant security clearances including the National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to drive/travel between Armajun sites
Desirable:
- Aboriginality
- Previous experience in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations or in Community Services
