Applications Close: Sunday 16th June 2024About the role:This role will see you provide professional/clinical leadership and consultation in the implementation of the Statewide Residential Eating Disorders Centre (REDC) Model of Care whilst actively engaging and leading quality, research and service development initiatives.As a member of our senior clinical care coordination team, you will work closely with the manager to provide leadership and governance and ensure a Social Work perspective is embedded into all aspects of service development and delivery. You will conduct comprehensive, collaborative, and individualised client care.This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker, who has extensive experience working with people with an eating disorder and has a passion for being an integral member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team in the development of a new and innovative service model.Where you’ll be working:The first of its kind for NSW, REDC will be located in Charlestown, 15km from Newcastle CBD. With good connectivity to community and transport, the space is a perfect balance of a natural bushland setting within a residential area.This 12 bed, brand new, purpose built facility will provide an innovative model of care for people 16 years and over with an eating disorder, in a homelike environment.You will be linked with the Social Work clinical network of Hunter New England Mental Health. This includes linkage with Social Work Head of Discipline, regular professional network meetings, access to regular supervision, ongoing education and professional development relevant to the role.About You:We are looking for someone who is experienced and competent in the treatment of Eating Disorders with exceptional interpersonal skills and a flexible approach. You should be a team player, with the ability to display warmth and compassion for others.This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about improving services for people with an eating disorder. You will be confident in the value of the social context in recovery and able to establish the role of Social Work in this treatment setting.Benefits:
