Are you a seasoned software expert looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of energy technology? Join our Global Energy organization based in the Eastern Metropolitan Perth area as a Senior Software Architect (Embedded Systems). This position offers a six-month contract with the potential for extension or transition into a full-time role.
As a Senior Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the overall control systems Software Architecture for their Electronic Train project. You'll collaborate closely with internal and external multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include applying a systems engineering approach, developing software requirements, functional flow block diagrams, use cases, and specifications. You'll also liaise with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, as well as coordinate and collaborate with multiple software development teams to achieve the architecture.
Skills needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software for embedded control systems.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and peripherals is required.
- Experience with product development or systems engineering in the Rail industry is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with model-based software development such as MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous.
- Broad experience in networking and communication technologies and protocols (CAN, TCP, UDP, DDS, SafeDDS) is advantageous.
- Experience developing redundant distributed control systems is highly advantageous.
