Key Accountabilities

As a Software Architect within Managed Services and Security, you will...
· Support the design of innovative product roadmaps to create competitive differentiation, growth, cost savings, and customer service improvements
· Design technical architecture of UI portal framework along with pluggable modules, such as a portal-style, modular UI framework and APIs and/or message driven microservices architecture, clearly documenting these and driving adoption across the business
· Collaborate with mission teams during both design and development phases to ensure alignment to strategic architecture and adherence to UI architectural standards and best practices.
· Work with the Product Management teams to understand customer performance expectations and to set testing criteria to meet or achieve these standards as future versions are released
· Encourage the team to authentically engage with customers, stakeholders, and vendors to gather insights and work collaboratively with them to develop solutions whilst minimising implementation and re-work risk
· Lead workshops to translate customer needs and requirements into new prototypes and features
· Model a high level of curiosity and capability in leading-edge industry trends around technological products and services that can also improve customer experience and overall resiliency, to foster an innovative and continuous improvement team culture
· Lead by example and support the team to be innovative and strive for outstanding improvement opportunities in technological capabilities, customer benefits and business impacts through prototyping and experimentation · Leveraging your exceptional communication and influencing abilities provide deep domain expertise to Product Portfolios and other teams, to inform them of the strategy, direction and modular product design
· Take individual responsibility for the expertise and insight contributed, and joint responsibility for the successful delivery of the mission
· Apply your impressive critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities to evaluate and resolve key impediments to the evolution of the technology product portfolio
· Contribute to planning and design sessions, utilising Agile ceremonies and techniques, providing estimation to the team
· Actively attend sessions held within the mission and the chapter to cross pollinate ideas and improvements
· Assess capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and manage vendor technology delivery
· Assess capability of internal systems and offerings to meet business requirements
· Identify and promote best practice in Knowledge Management and Innovation.
· Ensure that co-workers are treated respectfully and without any form of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation.
· Mentor, train and assist in the professional development of all members of the team
· Contribute to the broader standardization and adherence of standards in the mission you flow to work

Qualifications/Experiences

To be successful in the role, you will have:
· A minimum of 15 years’ experience working in an Engineering role including team leading roles and Software Architect role related to frontend and digital experiences
· Sound understanding of software development and database design principles, and programming languages, applications and environments
· Hands-on experience with C#/.Net Core and Azure with functions based, message driven and microservices architecture and API integrations extending into use of RDBMS (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB)
· Hands on experience with backend development extending into use of Azure offerings like Azure App Services, Key Vaults, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts and application insights.
· Hands-on experience with Agile Tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab/Bitbucket, Bamboo)
· Hands on experience with cloud native environments like container platforms and/or PaaS platforms
· Good understanding and knowledge of securing applications, i.e. OAuth, SAML, SSO etc.
· Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology teams in solving complex business needs.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and time management skills to write and review detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
· Experience in delivering projects as part of an agile team and exposure to DevOps teams, practices and tools
· Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with a strong desire to learn and drive skills to expert level in the domain
· Proactive and self-motivated Desirable
· A Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline.
· Good understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and practical application
· Good understanding of frontend technologies and threat vectors and mitigations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
