About the Role
This position reports to the Software Developer Team Lead for the analysis, design, implementation and testing of technology projects and system
enhancements to Tramada’s client-facing and internal systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that all work undertaken meets the company’s
objectives and level of quality, as determined by the Team Lead.
Software Design & Development
- Responsible for the delivery of development tasks as directed by the Team Lead.
- Undertake analysis of a problem or work package (where necessary) and provide a solution that is fit for purpose and neither under- nor overengineered.
- Implement development items to a high standard of quality, keeping in mind the following design goals:
- Re-use of common functionality and core libraries
- Use of off-the-shelf packages for infrastructure as far as possible
- Ease of testing
- Suitability for purpose
- Use only technologies that are core to the company, unless specifically authorised
- Execute all work to specification and in a time-efficient manner to meet agreed time lines.
- Unit test all changes and new development work prior to check-in such that the additional code compiles and passes all unit tests.
- Ensure all new work is covered by sufficient unit tests to ensure the quality of the code.
- Adhere to the principles and values of Agile development.
