Software Developer For Marine Ecosystem Software

Echoview Software is the global leader in hydroacoustic data visualisation and analysis software for the assessment of aquatic environments. The company’s product, Echoview®, is trusted by hundreds of organisations in over 60 countries and is the standard for advanced hydroacoustic studies in marine and freshwater ecosystems.

As a Software Developer, you will play an active role in developing the Echoview application suite. You will demonstrate the ability to work within a team of enthusiastic engineers, developing new algorithms and user interfaces. Your responsibilities will include:

• Writing software source code to meet agreed specifications
• Contributing thoughts and ideas to software design and specifications
• Testing, and debugging software as required

This role will suit someone with experience in software development, or a scientist looking to move into the commercial software space.

Required:

• Tertiary qualification in computer science, physics, mathematics, or environmental science
• Experience with coding or scripting languages
• Good English communications skills – both written and verbal
• The right to work in Australia

Desirable:

• Software engineering experience in C++
• Familiarity with physics, mathematics or marine science
