My client is a leader in the EdTech space and is looking for a Software Developer to support their continued growth. They have been operating for 20 years and this sector has seen a lot of growth recently post pandemic.

Technical Environment:
The application is developed as a React SPA with a serverless backend, utilising modern cloud based services. The primary development language is JavaScript in the browser and node.js for lambda functions and other scripts.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Lead Software Developer, the role is to help lead the development of a web-based application for deployment in multiple target markets. The application delivers assessments, on-line lesson guides and data analytics services for schools. The successful applicant will help manage the technical environment, become a lead in the development team, deliver incremental product improvement using an agile scrum methodology and undertake hands-on software development.
Required Skills:
- University Degree (4-5 yrs) in Computer Science/Information Engineering
- Project management qualification or substantial progress towards achieving a qualification
- 5-7 years Web Development experience in a commercial environment
- Demonstrated high level of skills in JavaScript, React, Redux, devExtreme
- Demonstrated high level skills in AWS services including Cognito, DynamoDB, Appsync, CodeCommit and serverless lambda functions
- At least 2 years experience with AWS Amplify and asw-sdk
- Demonstrated ability to manage the development pipeline and solve dev ops problems as they arise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of structured competency based and curriculum linked education standards both in Australia and overseas.
