Junior Software Developer

We are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Power Apps Developer to join our client, a local council in Sydney's North Shore. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment and contribute to meaningful work within the public sector.

The Opportunity

In this junior role, you'll play a key role in supporting our client's data analysis and reporting needs. You'll leverage your proficiency in Power BI and PowerApps to develop user-friendly reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide clear and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Create data visualizations that effectively communicate complex information.
• Utilize PowerApps to build custom applications to support data collection and analysis.
• Understand and apply data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, particularly from data warehouses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure reports are high-quality, meet user expectations, and adhere to best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Power BI and PowerApps, with demonstrable experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Strong understanding of data ETL processes.
• Experience in implementing Power BI solutions in a business environment (preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience with databases (desirable).
• Experience working in local government (desirable).
