Job Overview:
The Software Development Engineer's role is to maintain and conduct research and development tasks to ensure the correct functioning and improvement of the company’s products. The role is currently permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Research solutions to improve product design
- Use the best available techniques to develop and maintain the hardware and software components of the company’s projects
- Problem-solve technical issues during the development phase
- Develop, evaluate and test product prototypes
- Interface with hardware including cameras, embedded systems and robotics
- Document progress and results at an appropriate level of detail
WHS
- Comply with the CDSA Workplace Health & Safety Manual and Safety Policy
- Comply with all WH&S Acts and Regulations outside of CDSA
- Take responsibility for protecting your own and all worker's public health and safety when able
Competencies:
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent programming skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Node-RED and Linux
- AWS knowledge
- Understanding of Cybersecurity
- SQL knowledge would be an advantage
