Responsibilities
- Various memos, briefings and papers for coding committee meeting minutes, and query documents.
- Providing enquirers who submitted a coding committee query a written response of their resolved query and preparation of coding committee queries for publication.
- Provide input to coding-related responses to data requests received by the unit.
- Data Set Maintenance, support the manager in providing written feedback on classification development papers.
- Process Documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years operational experience working in the health classification and clinical coding domain space.
- Working knowledge of the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS classification having completed Twelfth Edition education
- Ability to respond to data requests from a range of internal and external data users based on detailed analysis of the requirements drawing on knowledge of the ICD-10-AM and AR-DRG classifications and data reporting business rules.
- Advanced skills to convey complex concepts to those less technically informed.
- Excellent written communication, including the preparation of meeting minutes, client query documents, written feedback on classification
