- Salary $106,534 plus 11% superannuation – VPS Grade 5

The opportunity
The Software Engineer is responsible for modernizing, enhancing, and maintaining Revenue Management Systems at SRO using contemporary software development tools and techniques.
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing complex web applications and backend APIs using modern architectures and technologies.
- Working with various stakeholders to understand business problems and come up with technical solutions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of software development best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong background in Software Engineering covering the full development lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Front web application development experience using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks with strong focus on usability, accessibility, and security.
- API development experience in a procedural language such as Java.
- Enterprise Application Integration experience using tools such as MuleSoft.
- Well-developed communication skills and be a team player.
