About the role
Gracenote is looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join our Frontend Engineering team in Melbourne, AU. In this role, you will own and lead Software Engineering projects that will make a lasting positive impact on our customers and the quality of our products. Everything we do is polished to high standards in all aspects of our work, from design to internal communications to code.
This position is fully remote, but we are looking for candidates who are able to travel to Melbourne, CBD to attend in-person activities and workshops.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with designers, developers, legal experts to deliver a state of the art frontend web application.
- Reviewing, testing, and refactoring frontend code to ensure quality and consistency across the codebase.
- Ensuring that the frontend is polished by helping to correct minor bugs or inconsistencies before release.
- Managing a global team to effectively communicate priorities and upcoming work.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in React.js, React JSX, Node.js, NPM, JavaScript, and PWAs.
- Experience with using Tailwind CSS to develop responsive and mobile websites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues who speak English as a second language.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate front ends with various APIs (REST, streaming, etc).
- Attention to detail, especially when it comes to design and coding style.
The following are nice to haves but not required:
- Developing using container-based workflows.
- Experience with using the Next.js framework.
- Familiarity with the shadcn/ui component library.
- Automated testing frameworks (Cucumber/Jest).
Compensation
In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between A$100,000 and A$130,000, inclusive of super guarantee. However, adjustments outside of this salary range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications substantially differ from those outlined in this job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our employee share option plan (ESOP).
