The CBA technology unit delivers the best digital banking services to Commonwealth Bank customers and to do so is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology and technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security and business resilience for all divisions across CBA. It is also dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for our over 53.000 people across CBA and focused on providing the latest tools, technology, and resources to enhance the way we work together and empower our people to achieve more for our customers.

You’ll be part of I&RAP team (Insurance and Retail Advice Partnership) responsible for building full end to end digital experience for insurance and financial advice product to provide unique service propositions and effortless experience across customer product journey. You’ll be also working with our partner to design and build solution to securely exchange data between organisations.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be consulted on product and feature designs and will be critical to their quality implementation and delivery. You will have the opportunity to stretch yourself in front end engineering, API development, and systems integration, as well as contribute to the evolution of this system and the BB business strategy. Also, you’ll be invited to attend our regular engineering guilds to broaden your expertise and participate in agile ceremonies, which will allow you to contribute to and define the way we operate

Tech Skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

• Strong hands-on experience with frontend using React

• Expertise with MS technologies - C#, Net Core, MVC, Web API

• Sound knowledge of RESTful API Integration

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline - Teamcity, Jenkins, Octopus

• Understanding of public cloud engineering – AWS or Azure

• Any experience with the following would be great - Microservices architecture, Kafka, Angular, Redux, SQL Server, Scripting/programming languages (i.e., JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, C#, Go, Python, Java)
