Evermed is a Sydney-based health-tech startup that brings together prescription medication, e-commerce and logistics to modernise the way Australians access their medication.
We’re well funded, having raised capital from top Australian and international venture capital funds, who were among the early backers of The Iconic, Stripe and HelloFresh. We’ve already grown to become Australia’s leading medication ecommerce platform, and we’re just getting started.
Evermed’s leadership has worked at leading high-growth tech companies including Google, ROKT and HotDoc. We’re passionate about using technology to improve the lives of Australians by making medication cheaper, faster and more convenient than ever before.
We are looking for a capable and motivated junior or mid-level engineer to join our engineering team, which is key to turning our goals into reality.
Our tech stack features Python, React JS, .Net 6, REST APIs, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform and other mainstays of a modern, scalable decoupled architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Develop APIs, stand-alone services, web applications and system integrations. Sometimes also libraries.
- Shape Infrastructure with code and craft fully automated CI/CD pipelines
- Solve important and interesting problems that relate to business expansion, scaling and optimisation
- Work in a small team unburdened by frivolous meetings or undue process
- Have the autonomy and ownership you need
- Provide support, documentation and fill in whatever gaps needed to keep our product humming, delighting and evolving
Qualifications:
- Deep experience in Java, C#, Python or Javascript - at least 5+ years
- Exposure to AWS and modern cloud environments
- Database design skills. Bonus if you have worked with PostgreSQL
- Strong on design patterns, automation and best practices
- Proven ability to craft maintainable, clean code and to express elegant solutions
- A willingness to learn, collaborate and commit
- Any STEM degree
- Enthusiasm and a sense of humour :)
We have a hybrid work arrangement with typically 1-2 days per week in the office and the rest remote. We have a strong funding runway and trajectory towards our next capital raise.
