The Opportunity
As a Software Engineer at Veris you will be primarily involve in process and workflow automation. We have a range of leading digital solutions which require the efficient execution of project workflows through process mapping, identifying the bottlenecks and automating processes. The role has the additional challenge of handling large volumes of spatial data.
You will need to scale our existing workflows whilst effectively managing large volumes of spatial data. Your activities at Veris will involve:
- Connecting disparate workflows
- Automating processes and ensuring scalability
- Efficiently managing large volumes of spatial data
- Testing and debugging processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and stability
- Working with and coordinating within the innovation team and across the business
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions
To excel in this position, you must be an autonomous problem-solver who possesses strong communication skills and takes pleasure in delving into new technologies. Being an effective team player is also crucial for success.
- Tertiary qualifications in survey, engineering, computer science, geospatial or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with coding, debugging, and testing
- Demonstrated coding experience and workflow automation, preferably involving feature extraction from point clouds and imagery.
- Ability to communicate ideas and present information in a simple, effective, and inclusive way.
- Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member.
- A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism in all your dealings.
