About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strengths in Java and Python, to join our team based on Garden Island. It is an exciting time to join our WA-team as we embark on a highly technical defence-focused engagement.
As a critical member of our Software Engineering team, you will provide support, guidance, and implementation towards the successful delivery of the project.
You will be responsible for:
• Reviewing and understanding current Excel based approaches.
• Designing and implementing software to support the creation of new scenarios for experiments.
• Providing text or video walkthroughs of the whole process (using the built solution, and other steps) of setting up a new experiment.
• Supporting the development of agent-based Monte Carlo simulation.
• Providing technical advice on software design and data analysis.
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
• Exposure to web based technologies (e.g. Angular or React).
• Exposure to an object oriented programming language (e.g. C++, Java or C#).
• Exposure to a version control tool (e.g. Subversion or Git).
• Initiative and a desire to challenge yourself and continuously improve.
• Must be able to work independently, whilst also working collaboratively with a broad range of key stakeholders.
