Solar Electrician

Effective Energy Group Pty Ltd has been operating for the past 5 years and the continued
growth of the company has lead to the need to take on another Electrician to assist in the
expansion.
Position available: Electrician, with 2+ years’ experience in Solar PV and Energy Storage
This is a Full-time permanent position.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
 Domestic and Commercial Solar experience (3+ years preferred).
 Be familiar with Solar PV (from 5kW-100kW systems), Battery Storage, EV charging
equipment.
 Confident performing Switchboard upgrades and alterations (single and 3 phase).
 Installing, testing, and commissioning fixed electrical wiring and equipment such as
Switchboards, Isolators, Inverters, Batteries, Hot water diverters, EV chargers.
 Competent testing electrical wiring and troubleshooting AC and DC circuits for faults.
 Ability to read, interpret and install electrical wiring and equipment based on wiring
diagrams and make alterations to diagrams should they needed based on changes
on-site.
 Familiar with repairing and replacing faulty equipment and wiring.
 Applying knowledge of AS3000 to perform mandatory testing before connecting
equipment to the network.
 Design, measuring and layout of electrical equipment accurately and safely.
 Current SAA Solar Accreditation for Design and Install of Grid Connected PV
Systems
 Background in Renewable Engineering Highly Desirable
 Current Drivers Licence (unrestricted)
 Qualified Supervisor Electrical Licence (NSW)
 Working at heights certificate (Current)
 EWP Under and over 11m, High risk work licence, Scissor lift ticket, and experience
operating machinery safely.
 LVR/CPR certificate, within the 12 months
 Construction Induction Card (White Card)
 Ability to work unsupervised and supervising others in a team where required
 Excellent communication skills and work ethic
