The Role:
Based in our office located in Canning Vale, WA, this position offers a unique chance to work in a thriving and supportive atmosphere.
As a Senior Accounts Officer you are required to provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures/policies and monitoring the required financial duties. Day to day duties encompassing all Parabellum entities to include, but not limited to;
- Supervision and back-up processing for 360-degree payroll function on fortnightly and monthly payment runs.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing by strictly adhering to deadline to guarantee on-time payment.
- Processing payroll transactions, including calculations, adjustment, and reconciliations.
- Month-end payroll journals.
- Addressing and resolving payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the entire customer invoicing process.
- Ensure timely approval of AR invoices by proactively monitoring and reminding approvers to finalise approvals on the same day, maintaining close follow-up to avoid delays.
- Review GP Margins per pay cycle.
- In conjunction with the Finance Team, to manage to collection of debtors.
- Assist with the AP function, including raising PO’s when required.
- Responsible for processing supplier payments.
- Assist with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- PPSR registrations when required.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers and respond to queries.
- Monitor general accounts email inbox.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory reports & compliance of employer obligations when required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role
- Knowledge of Payroll applications in Xero and HumanForce would be desirable.
- Understanding the payroll applications of a rostered/FIFO workforce.
- Understanding of employment agreements and award instruments.
- Understanding of Accounting principles and standards.
- Awareness of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Knowledge of statutory tax requirements relating to BAS, GST and Payroll tax.
- Proficient in processing invoices.
- Proficient in raising purchase orders.
- Proficient in Xero.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
